The following is how Sampson Tuck Quotes for Caravan and Motorhome Detailing

Sampson Tuck washes, polishes (cut & polish) and ceramic coats caravans and motorhomes. The following is how we quote jobs.

 

There are many unique models, brands and types of Caravans and Motorhomes. It is not easy to accurately quote job however...lets give it a go.

Things that affect quoting:

  • Surface area of the vehicle 
  • Condition of the vehicle (faded meaning it needs more cutting)
  • Service to be provided
    • Cut & Polish
    • Cut & Polish + Ceramic Coating
    • Decal Removal (Rare but profitable)
  • Year of the vehicle (usually reflects the Condition of the vehicle)

 

Surface area of the vehicle & Condition

The surface are of the vehicle is the main factor that dictates the quote. We mainly work on white fiberglass caravans and motorhomes, we quote per square meter (SQM) of the caravan or motorhome. Therefor, we need the accurate dimensions of the vehicle we are quoting for. 

Message for Quentin: You need to search the internet for the precise model the customer tells you through the form submission & find its SQM. They will tell you Brand + Model, Year Model, Length (ft) & . 

Once a precise accurate SQM is found we then create an accurate quote in combination of its condition - this is the for Cut & Polish:

Basically Brand New -  $25per SQM

Barely Oxidized - $25per SQM 

Dull but no Mould - $30per SQM

Dull & Mouldy - $40per SQM

Some customers want there caravan or motorhome ceramic coated. This is an additional but optional add on service - $25per SQM. Please create this as a new line item on the Quote.

Some nuance: Most people don't care about there roof and they don't wish to pay for this SQM, therefor we need to create a separate quote for 'Roof Packages'. This quote will be right under the main quote, it is an upsell service essentially and is premium for the customer, we give the customer the option within this email:

Just Washed - No Extra Cost

Roof Polished & Coated (Including Solar Panels & sunroof/hatch cleaned) - $50per SQM

 

Example; someone has a Jayco Silverline, 2019, 22ft and is Dull but no Mould.

Search & find SQM:

Sides, Front & Back: 55.94 M²
Roof: 15.06 M²
 
Since the Caravan is 'Dull but no Mould'. This is how you set out the quote.
 
I have searched the internet and found the surface are of your Jayco Silverline. In total your sides, front & back equal 55.94 M². Please show the customer how you came up with the total SQM of sides, front & back, youse the length, width, height and show how you got 55.94 M².

We charge $30per SQM to cut & polish caravans which is Dull but not Mouldy. If you were interested in the Ceramic Coating we charge $25 additional per SQM.
 
Approximate Quote (Side, Front & Back):
 

55.94 M² x $30 = $1,678.2 (Wash & Polish)

55.94 M² x $25 = $1,398.5 (+Ceramic Coating)

 

Approximate Quote (Roof):

Just Washed - No Extra Cost

Roof Polished & Coated - $50per SQM (Roof Polished & Coated + solar panels coated)
