Step 2: Preparation
- Park in Shade (if possible): Position your vehicle in a shaded area to avoid the sun drying polish too quickly. - or work on shaded side first
- Assess the Paint: Check for oxidation, scratches, or swirl marks. If it’s just light dullness, use Hand Polish. For heavier oxidation or defects, opt for Machine Polish.

Step 3: Polishing
Hand Polish (Beginner-Friendly)
-
Apply the Polish:
-
Shake the bottle of Sampson Tuck Hand Polish well.
-
Dab a small amount (about the size of a 20-cent coin) onto a soft applicator pad or microfibre cloth.
-
Work on a small section (e.g., 30cm x 30cm) at a time.
-
-
Polish the Surface:
-
Rub the polish into the paint using circular motions with light to medium pressure. Focus on dull or lightly scratched areas.
-
Keep going until the polish starts to dry or haze (about 1-2 minutes per section).
-
For best results, don’t press too hard—this is a gentle process!
-
-
Wipe Off:
-
Use a clean microfibre towel to wipe away the residue in small circles.
-
Check your work—expect a smooth, glossy finish.
-
-
Repeat as Needed:
-
Move to the next section and repeat until the whole vehicle is done. For lightly oxidized paint, one pass is usually enough.
-
-
Finish Up:
-
Once satisfied, wash off any stray polish from trim or gaps with a damp cloth.

Machine Polish Instructions
" Machine polishing isn't for professionals. Anyone can learn how to confidently polish there white fiberglass caravan in minutes "
- Ryan Sampson Tuck
Machine Polish - What You'll Need
- Wash Equipment
- Sampson Tuck - Machine Polish
- Buff Pad
- Microfiber Towels
-
Set Up Your Polisher:
-
Attach a foam pad to your dual-action or rotary polisher.
-
Apply 4-5 pea-sized drops of Sampson Tuck Machine Polish to the pad.
-
-
Test a Spot:
-
Start with a small, hidden area (e.g., under a bumper) to dial in your technique.
-
Set the polisher to a low speed (e.g., 1 on a 6-speed scale), spread the polish over a 50cm x 50cm section.
-
-
Polish the Surface:
-
Work in overlapping passes (up/down, then left/right) with light to moderate pressure. Keep the pad flat and moving to avoid burning the paint.
-
Polish for 1-2 minutes per section until the compound hazes or the defects lift.
-
For heavy oxidation, you may need a second pass with the cutting pad.
-
-
Wipe Off:
-
Remove residue with a clean microfibre towel. Inspect under good light—look for a deep, clear shine.
-
-
Complete the Vehicle:
-
Repeat across all sections. Take breaks to avoid overheating the polisher or paint.

Hydro Wax Instructions
" Hyrdo Wax protects that shine. An optional, but recommended final step to increase hydrophobicity and prolong that new shine from polishing"
- Ryan Sampson Tuck
Hydro Wax - What You'll Need
- Hydro Wax
- Microfiber Towels
Step 4: Hydro Wax
-
Prep the Surface: Ensure the vehicle is clean, polished, dry, and cool.
-
Spray: Shake the Hydro Wax bottle well. Lightly mist 2-3 sprays onto a clean microfibre towel (not directly on the surface to avoid overspray).
-
Wipe On: Buff the wax onto a 60cm x 60cm section using the dampened towel in straight lines or light circles. Its runny texture spreads easily—keep it thin.
-
Buff Off: Immediately use a second clean microfibre towel to wipe off any remaining residue, revealing a slick, glossy, water-beading finish.
-
Repeat: Work section by section across the vehicle. One quick pass per area is all it takes.
Notes: The watery consistency and "spray, wipe, done" design means no waiting—just fast shine and protection. Enjoy the cherry scent, but use in a ventilated spot.
